Hotel Nacional de Cuba was built in 1930, it consists of an eight-story Spanish-style installation on a hill in front of the Malecon. This site formerly served as a landing place for pirates and during the English occupation of Havana, it served as a fort. One of the most appealing spaces of the hotel, and favorite by visitors for its cozy atmosphere, is the terrace with comfortable Chesterfield sofas located under beautiful chandeliers on carved wooden ceiling.
